Volunteering
We value and recognize that volunteers enhance the learning experiences of our students and strengthen school and community relationships.
Our school welcomes parents, guardians and community members as volunteers who support the life of the school.

If you are interested in volunteering at Our Lady of Victory School, please contact your child's homeroom teacher or the school office. A current Police Record Check, which includes vulnerable sector screening and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required of all volunteers.
Volunteer activities at Our Lady of Victory School include:

Parent Advisory Committee
Participate as a member of parent council; an important part of your child’s school and education.
Classroom Assistant
Assist the classroom teacher with daily activities and subject material. Work one-on-one or with small groups of students in a variety of subject areas, i.e. math, science, English, etc..

Hearing Screening Volunteer/Eye Testing
Conduct initial hearing screening tests and eye testing on students attending our school.

Coach
Be a coach or assistant coach for volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton etc.
​
Speech and Language Assistant
Work one on one with students, under the direction of a Speech Language Pathologist, on speech and language development.

Reading Buddy
Read with and help students conquer problems with reading, grammar, and spelling. Positions with elementary and secondary school students are available.

Special Event Volunteer
Assist school staff with special events such as christmas concerts, assemblies, community barbeques, pancake breakfast, field trips, overnight camps, gardening, etc.
